Protochips, the creators of revolutionary holders for electron microscopy, has selected Venue to provide eCommerce and self-service quoting within their Salesforce Lightning Community.

The company’s products empower scientists, engineers, and researchers to discover and analyze new phenomenon by visualizing biological, chemical and physical processes.

Like many leading organizations, Protochips uses Salesforce Sales Cloud (CRM) to record and track customer orders and uses Salesforce Communities to stay connected with their customers. Their ordering process is technical and often requires many interactions between sales reps and customers. The company felt that this process was becoming increasingly time intensive and was a potential source of order-entry errors

Protochips needed to provide a self-serve quoting and ordering systems to their customers. Their primary goals were to offer a one-stop-shop experience for their customers, to integrate fully with Salesforce, and to minimize systems administration overhead and costs.
